All children living with HIV and TB have the right to an education, just as any other child does, and Policies need to be in place to ensure a child
living with HIV at school is not subjected to stigma, discrimination or bullying due to their status and that their status is kept confidential
The inclusion of sex and HIV & AIDS education for young children is vital for tackling the stigma surrounding HIV, and to teach others the facts about HIV transmission.86 HIV-awareness
programs are important to encourage openness about HIV rather than silence.
There are many ways to reach young people; including through social groups, the media, and peer outreach - not just at school.
